सेमर तरु दल-जुट असिपत्र,असि ज्यों देह विदारे तत्र,मेरु समान लोह-गल जाय,ऐसे शीत-उष्णता थाय.

भावार्थ: उन नार्कों में अनेक सेमल के वृक्ष हैं, जिनके पाते तलवार की धार के समान तीक्षण होते है! जब दुखी नारकी छाया मिलने की आशा लेकर उस वृक्ष के नीचे जाता हैं, तब उस वृक्ष के पत्ते गिरकर उसके शरीर को चीर देते हैं ! उन नारको मैं इतनी गर्मी होती हैं की एक लक योजन उँचे सुमेरू पर्वत के बराबर लोहें का पिंड भी पिघल जाता हैं तथा इतनी ठंड पड़ती हैं की सुमेरू के समान लोहे का गोला भी गाल जाता हैं! जिस प्रकार लोक मे कहा जाता हैं की ठंड के मारे हाथ अकड़ गये, हिम गिरने से वृक्ष या अनाज जल गया आदि! यानि अतिश्य प्रचंड ठंड के कारण लोहे के चिकनाहट कम हो जाने से उसका सकन्ध् बिखर जाता हैं!

Word Meaning: Sevartaru with sevar trees. Daljut with the leaves. Asipatra-leaves with sharp edges. Asi .Iyautz-like sword. Dell Vidaaraht-tear the body. Tatra-there in hell. Meru-Pratt:clan-equal to themountMeru. Loh-lump of iron. Gal! Jaay-melt away. Aisee-so much. Sect-Ushnntaa Thwty-cold and heat exist.

Translation: In the infernal realm, there are leaves of the ‘Sevar’ trees that have sharp edges like a sword. When they fall on the inhabitants they pierce through the body. The climate is so intensely hot that a lump of iron as big as mount Meru can melt just like the wax of the candle and it is also so cold that the same lump of iron melts away as if the salt into the water.
