Dhala 1 : (Stanza – 9)

तहां भूमि परसत दुःख इसो,बिच्छु सहस डसे नहीं तिसो
तहां राध-श्रोणित वाहिनी,कृम्कुल्कलित देह-दाहिनी.

शब्दार्थ

भावार्थ:उन नरको की भूमि का स्पर्शमात्र करने से नारकियो को इतनी वेदना होती हैं की हज़ारो बिछू एकसाथ डॅंक मारें, तब भी उतनी वेदना न हो! तथा उस नरक में रकट, मवाद और छोटे-छोटे कीड़ो से भारी हुई, शरीर में दाह उत्तपन करने वाली एक वैतरणी नदी हैं, किंतु वाहा तो उनकी पीड़ा अधिक भयंकर हो जाती है!

(जीवों को दुख होने का मूल कारण तो उनकी शरीर के साथ ममता ही हैं; धरती का स्पर्श आदि तो मात्र निमित कारण हैं!)

Word Meaning: Thhaan-in the infernal area Bhoonti Parasat-touch of the ground, Dukh-sufferings Isate-as much as. Bichhoo Sahas Dasat-by the sting of thousands of scorpions. Tan Tisoto the body. Thhaan-in the infernal (hell) realm Rain//ti-puss. Shronnit Vaahthee-river of blood. Krunzi-Kul Kalit- swamp of worms. Deh- Daahinee-eauses burning of body.

Translation: In the infernal realm just merely touching the ground causes pain likened to the sting of thousands of scorpions. The flow of the river ‘vaitarni’ is full of pus and blood along with swamps of worms and all these cause severe burning sensation to the body.
