Dhala 1 : (Stanza – 6)

कबहू पंचेन्द्रिय पशु भयो,मन बिन निपट अज्ञानी थयो,सिंहादिक सैनी हैं क्रूर,निर्बल पशु हति खाए भूर.

भावार्थ : यह जीव पंचेंद्रीय असन्ग्यि पशु भी हुआ हैं तो मन रहित होने की वजह से ज्ञान ग्रहण नही कर पाया और घोर दुख सहता रहा! कभी सन्ग्यि हुआ तो सिंह जैसा क्रूर और निर्दयी हुआ और अनेको निर्बल पशुओ को मार मार कर खाया और घोर अज्ञानी हुआ!

Word Meaning: Kabahoon-sometimes. Panchendriya-five-sensed living being, Pashu-animal. Bhayau-took birth. Man Bin-without thinking power. Nipat Agyaanee Thayau-became quite ignorant being. Sinhaadik-lion/tiger etc. Saini-with thinking power. Hvai-was born. Kroor-wikl or cruel beast. Nibal Pashoo-weak animal. Hati-to kill. Khaay-eaten. Bhoor-many.

Translation: Even when the soul took birth as a five sensed sensed animal, sometimes he took birth without the power of rational thoughts and remained completely ignorant about his true nature. Even if an opportunity arose to take birth as a five sensed animal with the power of rational thinking, it may take birth as a wild or cruel beast such as a lion or a tiger. Which kills and eat many weaker animals like deer and rabbits etc.
